What was announced?
NewCore announced on 15 June 2026 that it had emerged from stealth with $66M in funding. The investors named were Cyberstarts, Index Ventures and Evolution Equity Partners.
What does NewCore document?
NewCore's platform pages describe three parts: discover, secure and govern.
Discover uses read-only integrations to find agents without relying on teams to register them. It resolves a person's accounts across identity providers, directories and HR systems and links their agents. It traces access paths, including paths outside SSO.
Secure replaces standing credentials with short-lived, task-scoped access. The agent never holds the tool's credential. Every agent tool call passes through a gateway, which identifies the agent and the person behind it and checks the action against policy. An MCP server connection registry records endpoint, owner and environment. Revocation works per agent. Agents stay within the permissions of the person they act for.
Govern uses one policy engine for people and agents. Actions are allowed, need approval or are denied. Policies are written in a sentence and replayed against recent real sessions before going live. Tools an agent cannot use stay hidden. Risky calls go to a named approver in the NewCore App, who confirms with device biometrics. An agent can never approve its own action. Tool calls, sessions and approvals sit in one audit trail, and denied attempts are treated as a threat signal.
How does it work with an identity provider?
NewCore states that the current identity platform keeps handling employee sign-in. It names SAML, OIDC and MCP. Its first deployment path is "Start alongside your identity platform". It also works alongside an existing AI gateway. A governance layer runs alongside your identity provider, never instead of it.
Where does it rank?
NewCore leads the register at 9.10 out of 10. It scores ten on ownership, policy and approval. Audit evidence scores nine. Inventory and lifecycle score eight. Buying clarity scores five, because no list price is published. NewCore is listed on AWS Marketplace.
It documents 13 of the 24 register controls in full and three in part, more than any other platform in the register.
What is not documented?
Several controls were not found in NewCore's public material. They include SIEM export (GOV-14), periodic access review (GOV-15) and change management (GOV-20). Third-party agent onboarding (GOV-21), data access boundaries (GOV-22), evidence retention (GOV-23) and board reporting (GOV-24) were not found either. Buyers should ask about these directly.
What will we recheck?
At the next monthly review we will check for published pricing and for any new documentation on the controls above.
